Answer

Minister for Justice and Equality (Deputy Frances Fitzgerald): As the Deputy is aware, under the provisions of the Courts Service Act 1998, the day to day management of the courts is the responsibility of the Courts Service which is independent in exercising its functions and I am responsible for ensuring that the Service is adequately funded. The following table sets out actual expenditure for the salaries and expenses for the Courts Service (excluding judicial salaries) in supporting the administration of justice and the courts of all jurisdictions. The Courts Service is not able to provide such details for each separate Court.
