Deputy Jim O'Callaghan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if her Department has complied with section 42 of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Act 2014, which requires her Department to set out, in a manner that is accessible to the public in its strategic plan, an assessment of the human rights and equality issues it views to be relevant to the functions and purpose of her Department; and the policies, plans and actions in place or proposed to be put in place to address those issues; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the reason Ireland, from the period 2007 to 2013, returned €3,933,413.66 of €8,244,939.65 that was allocated to Ireland from the European fund for the integration of third-country nationals, which saw 47.71% of the allocated funds permanently lost; and the systems which have been put in place to make sure it does not happen in the future.
