White Paper on Crime

The Department has commenced a process to develop a White Paper on Crime.

The White Paper, due to be completed in 2011, will set out the overall policy framework for strategies to combat and prevent crime.

The process to develop the White Paper will examine system-wide approaches to intervention, prevention and enforcement, with a view to reducing offending and protecting the public. The process will incorporate extensive consultation.
