Deputy Mick Wallace asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the details of all contracts awarded for the supply of the Garda National Immigration Bureau card; the names of the contracts; the companies they were awarded to; the dates awarded; the length and costs of the contracts; and if the contracts were tendered. Minister for Justice and Equality (Deputy Charles Flanagan): I am advised by the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) of my Department that the contracts in question were put in place by An Garda Síochána. I will respond the Deputy when the information requested is available. I might add that since the end of 2017, a new regime of EU Residents Permits has replaced the Garda National Immigration Bureau card as outlined in my response to question 5708/18.
